GRACE Introduction

Minhaj University Lahore (MUL) is committed to fostering global impact through education, innovation and societal contribution. In alignment with its mission to empower communities through knowledge, MUL is pleased to announce the establishment of Global Rehabilitation and Community Engagement (GRACE) Repository, which aims to promote Moderation, Toleration, & Co-Existence. This initiative reflects MUL’s dedication to creating a sustainable, inclusive, and empowered society through knowledge.
The GRACE is a comprehensive platform of literature that is concerned about global peace, interfaith harmony, de-radicalization, rehabilitation, co-existence and community engagement. This repository focuses at enhancing awareness among civil society throughout the world against terrorism, extremism, radicalization and intolerance through a comprehensive knowledge bank. The GRACE repository consists of research articles, books, conference papers, audio-video speeches, research theses and other relevant material from different intellectuals, experts, practitioners, academics, scholars and even artists from around the world.

Mission Statement:

“The Global Rehabilitation & Community Engagement (GRACE) Repository at Minhaj University Lahore is dedicated to providing an E-library that gathers the works of the world’s renowned scholars, academicians, practitioners and policy experts promoting moderation, toleration, and co-existence. The purpose is to pool together the endeavors promoting sustainable peace, resilience, and inclusiveness. To raise public awareness in academia and civil society as well as government understanding of terrorism, extremism, and exclusiveness, the GRACE repository seeks to build support for rehabilitation and community engagement initiatives. Through comprehensive collection of literature garnered from various sources, it aims to rehabilitate as well as to prevent the spread of radical and violent ideologies.”

Vision

As a center of excellence committed to promoting peace, tolerance, interfaith dialogue and social cohesion, the GRACE repository seeks to empower communities through knowledge to counter terrorism, extremism, radicalization and intolerance. Our vision is to foster a global culture of inclusiveness and dialogue to create safer and harmonious societies that reject violence and embrace diversity. This initiative will serve as a beacon of hope and transformation, equipping individuals and communities with the knowledge necessary to prevent and counter virulent ideologies while strengthening human dignity and shared values.

Goals

The GRACE repository aims at fostering a culture of moderation, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence. It’s main objectives are:

  • 1. To Promote Moderation by encouraging balanced and moderate viewpoints to neutralize extremism and radicalism in communities.
  • 2. To Encouraging Tolerance by fostering understanding and acceptance of diverse perspectives, beliefs, and cultural practices that will reduce discrimination and bias.
  • 3. To Facilitate Coexistence by creating a platform for dialogue and collaboration that will encourage peaceful coexistence among individuals and communities of various backgrounds.
  • 4. To Empower Communities by engaging them in awareness programs and rehabilitation initiatives to improve social integration.
  • 5. To Build Research and Knowledge Sharing by developing a repository of educational resources to support academic and practical work in these areas.
  • 6. To Collaborate with Local and Global Organizations by partnering with national and international organizations and academic institutions to share resources and expertise for the promotion of global peace and coexistence.
